Fairly good article on what setting to change to reduce ads on Windows 11.

If like a lobotomized 10 / 11 https://www.oo-software.com/en/shutup10 as much or as little you want.  I have yet to see a ad yet. This is only reason I moved to 10 / 11

I do those tips suggested from the lifehacker link on a new Windows installation.

I have yet to see any ads and that is just fine with me.

You may be tempted to use a third-party tool to disable all of Microsoft's invasive tracking with one click. While this may sound like the easier method that following this guide, I don't recommend it.

It's difficult to know what kinds of changes such tools are making under the hood, and if anything goes wrong, it'll be hard to troubleshoot the problem, as these apps generally tweak dozens of settings in one go.

With all due respect, I still use my third 8.5-year-old desktop-only computer with Microsoft Windows 10 Professional 64-bit V. 22H2 (19045) on my Intel® Core™ i7-6700K Processor (I do NOT want to upgrade).

I have discovered that my processor does NOT feature Hypervisor-Enforced Code Integrity (HVCI), which is part of Virtualization-Based Security (VBS), by using the Windows 11 Requirements Check Tool.

I plan to purchase a new fourth desktop-only computer with Microsoft Windows 11 Professional 64-bit just before or approximately when Microsoft officially stops supporting Windows 10 on October 14, 2025.

As such, I have already bookmarked the article for future reference, and upon skimming it, I wonder if it makes the AdGuard (App) for Windows redundant (I still do NOT use it and it is NOT mentioned in the article).

Microsoft Windows 10 Professional 64-bit V. 22H2 (19045) Retail Desktop PC, EAMH Paid/EEK, MB 4 Prem., and Unchecky, MDFW, FF with uBO/AG, Grammarly Free, MBBG, and Acronis CPHOE (DI), SUMo Free. I have 28.5 Years of PC Experience.

So, I can infer that the AdGuard (App) for Windows is NOT redundant, and that is nice to know. :) The article ONLY mentions 3rd-party privacy apps for Windows 10/11, which the AdGuard (App) for Windows is NOT. :exclame:
